Jury in Derek Chauvin Murder Trial Hears Closing Arguments

Both the Prosecutors and Defendants in the Derek Chauvin Case make their final remarks on the death of George Floyd and the connection to Derek Chauvin. The closing arguments will then be followed by the decision made upon the jury. The United States continues to hold its breath on the case as businesses throughout the US begin to prepare for possible riots. We saw in 2020, "the summer of love," caused over $2 Billion dollars in damages and this retaliation has the US on edge. If Mr. Chauvin is either found guilty or not guilty of the charges of second and third degree murder and manslaughter, we may see outrage by groups such as Black Lives Matter take to the streets. The jury's decision has to find if Mr. Chauvin is responsible for the death of Mr. Floyd beyond a reasonable doubt. Their decision does not only affect Mr. Chauvin, but also the rest of the United States as well as their own safety. Businesses have already boarded up their windows and entrances to prepare for what can occur at the end of the trial. The future of America hang in the balance, and the jury's conclusion can see destruction throughout the land of the free.
