Minnesota Rape Court Ruling

A new court ruling in Minnesota rules that if the victim of the rape was voluntarily intoxicated, there can be no charge of rape. Since she chose to take the shots that she did, it is said that it is not considered rape because she decided to get drunk. This does not mean that she decided to get raped. As of 2016, intoxication revisions did not include it to be rape if the victim was voluntarily intoxicated, which is why this case went the way that it did. Nearly 10 million women have been raped while intoxicated, and many of their attackers did not receive nearly as bad of punishments as they did due to rulings like these.
