Recently, conflicts between Armenia and Azerbaijan have escalated. After months of rising tension, fighting has begun and has set off worry about a potential wider war with US ally, Turkey, aiding Azerbaijan in its attacks on Armenia. Armenia's Prime Minister had sought to speak to President Trump about why nothing was being done to stop Turkey from using American made jets in the fight. But this was before Trump fell ill. Now, the President's health issues have accelerated disengagement from an already distant United States, who has been far more interested in bigger issues such as China.
