Putin: Russia-China military alliance can’t be ruled out

Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, said that a military alliance between China and Russia was unnecessary at the time but in the future may occur. Putin revealed to international foreign policy experts that Russia has also been sharing military technology with China to boost China's military potential. As tensions between the United States and China increase the neighbors seem to cooperate on a greater scale than previously. Despite this, there still is a cooperation between the US and Russia in regards to New START, a pact that limits each countries nuclear warheads and deployed missiles and bombers with inspections to ensure compliance. Washingtons insistence on China joining was a point of contention however both sides seem to have moved on from this demand in favor of limiting new weapons.
