United Kingdom Labour Party has Anti-Semitism in Ranks According to Watchdog

The United Kingdoms Labour Party has anti-Semitism in its ranks according to the U.K. equalities watchdog. The party is known to have committed "unlawful acts of harassment and discrimination" toward Jewish people. The Equality and Human Rights Commission sound significant evidence of lack of leadership in how the party handled members who expressed anti-Semitism. The Labour party is currently Britain's opposition party and had been led by Jeremy Corbyn, who has been a part of the party since 1983, but Corbyn stepped down after the worst general election showing since 1935 by the party. Corbyn was the one who allowed this behaviour within the party and has since been suspended by the party. Keir Starmer, the new the Labour leader, said the findings are "a day of shame" for the party and he promised "a culture change" in the party. Corbyn has been the centre of attention of these findings and his suspension has been praised by Jewish and anti-racism groups. Starmer has taken a hard stance on this issue stating that anyone who doesn't see a problem with anti-Semitism or doesn't believe in the findings "should be nowhere near the Labour Party."
