Covid virus survives 28 days in lab conditions

According to Australia’s national science agency, the Covid virus is able to survive longer than originally expected. There is still doubt around whether the virus can be transmitted through infected surfaces, but there is now evidence that it can be spread through particles in the air. The study by the Australian national science agency conducted their test in complete darkness, yet there has been studies that said the virus can’t survive with UV light. The experiment showed that the virus, with complete darkness and room temperature around 68 degrees, can survive for 28 days on smooth surfaces and glass such as phone screens. For comparison, the flu virus, under the same conditions and on the same surfaces, can survive for 17 days.
