There has been an increase in the manhunt to arrest some perpetrators of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. In the latest of several high-profile arrests, three Rwandan nationals were arrested in Belgium. Rwanda helped to identify the three men and Belgium then made the arrests, with one man under surveillance house arrest. This is not the first time Belgium has arrested Rwandan genocide suspects and Belgium has also conducted several trials of the perpetrators. Belgium has also laid out sentences, such as 25 year sentence for a former Rwandan agricultural scientist for war crimes.
