Armenia’s Leader Makes Plea to U.S. as Conflict Rages With Azerbaijan

Nikol Pashinyan is the Prime Minister of Armenia, he called the United States and spoke with President Trump's national security adviser about the ongoing situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Prime Minister was initially told he would be put in contact with the President regarding Turkey's role in the conflict; Turkey was using American-made F-16 jets against the Armenians. Trump then fell ill to COVID-19 and has not yet gotten back to Mr. Pashinyan. The feud between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been going on for awhile, and although the violence has escalated, both sides have refused to take the blame of starting it and have spun the story to blame the other. It doesn't seem like the tensions will die down any time soon.
